Cardiac & Vascular Framework Library

Hemodynamic assessment, circulatory physiology, perfusion state recognition, shock logic, and cardiovascular treatment reasoning — from initial evaluation through escalating management.

Review-Stage Library

The Cardiac & Vascular framework library is in active review. Core assessment, physiology, integrated work, and treatment documents have been developed and are being refined alongside the Respiratory library, with the Oxygen Transport bridge document connecting the two.

Library Components

Cardiac & Vascular Assessment Framework

Structured approach to hemodynamic evaluation — cardiac output, perfusion state, vascular tone, and clinical prioritization of circulatory compromise.

Cardiac & Vascular Physiology & Mechanism

Physiologic foundations for understanding cardiac output determinants, perfusion failure mechanisms, shock physiology, and vascular compensatory patterns.

Integrated Cardiac/Vascular Work Document

Integrating assessment findings into physiologic interpretation, perfusion state recognition, and shock differentiation for cardiovascular presentations.

Cardiac & Vascular Treatment Framework

Organized treatment logic connecting hemodynamic recognition to prioritized management — including fluid strategy, vasopressors, antidysrhythmics, and interventional escalation.

How It Fits

The Cardiac & Vascular library builds on the Patient Assessment core framework and connects to the Oxygen Transport / Tissue Oxygenation bridge document, which links cardiovascular and respiratory reasoning through the physiology of oxygen delivery. It also feeds into the Phylux Assess encounter structure.
